Only for a week and I'm leaving at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning, but I cannot wait! It's my cousin's wedding on Saturday, and the lucky bugger is to be married in a millenia-old church in the cobbled streets of Stia, a tiny village high up in the Tuscan mountains. The last time I was there I was 14. It should be a giggle.
Matthew and I have broken all our rules and splurged on a car rental. We're taking our tent and seeing where the wind blows us, but at the moment it's looking pretty likely that Rome will be on the agenda because I'm taking yarn with me! I put a load up for sale on my destash page on Ravelry and one of the buyers is a Roman. I can't think of a better excuse to see the Colosseum. With any luck we'll make it across the country to swim in the Adriatic, too!
When I get back I must remember to blog about this:
and this:

What fun! I've tagged you for a meme, btw. Dinner when you return? I need to rectify point number 1. x

Oh, so this would explain why I haven't seen you lately! I just sent you a PM on Rav because you are so terribly missed! I hope you're having a lovely time, and it goes without saying that if you see any lovely Roman sheep, you have to put pictures of them on your blog!

Okay, daft question, but on Ysolda's blog there's a photo of you wearing a grey-ish cardigan at iKnit. What is the yarn, please? I looooove it.

As you've got a hire car, you should check out Il Giardino dei Taiocchi (Tarot Garden) It's Niki de Saint Phalle's sculpture garden. I think it's between Grosetto and Rome. Check the website for directions and opening times (which are odd).
Sigh...have a lovely time in Italy. ;o)
