I've given myself too many choices and I need help narrowing down to one: please help me decide! I want a new cardigan, but I can't decide which pattern to go for. I've trawled my magazines and Ravelry and Googled all over the place searching for ideas. Unfortunately I now have too many of them, but at last I've have a final five (in alphabetical order, all pics taken from original website or designer's Raverly page):
Garter Yoke Cardigan (Ravlery link)
Gilet Asymetrique (Ravelry link)
Lace Panel Cardi (Ravelry link)
The only trouble is I'm also rather keen on the Asymetrical Cardigan, the Chic Cables and Lace Cowl, Green Iisis, the Round the Corner Hoodie and the Wedgewood Blouse (all Rav links).
I've got some rather luscious Fyberspates BFL DK in a deep plum in reserve for this, but also Lovegarn in Iceland in smokey blue, depending on what pattern I go for. But which one should I go for?

Garter Yoke.

Ooh - they're all lovely, but my favourite is the first one. The collar is retro and very unusual!
Good luck choosing!

I really like Shalom but in a different color.

I like the lace panel cardi or the rounded corner one. Very noice. Or the garter yoke. Actually, I've seen really nice outcomes for most of them.

I like the top two, though it's hard to tell from the picture exactly what the top one looks like.

We have similar tastes. I like the Round the Corner Hoodie, 28thirty, and, perhaps, the Lace Panel Cardigan.

Oooh I really like the look of the lace panel cardi... and I think it looks as though it will be fun to knit too..
I've just started a cardi of my own (first garment woo!) from one of the recent Rowan Studio books.. I really like those for design inspiration, the styling is fab-u-lous!

Ohhh...I think Shalom or the Lace Panel Cardi....or you could join me in knitting Ysolda's Little Birds!! ;o)

I vote for the garter yoke sweater. It's simple, lovely, and practical - what's not to love! I think you'll get more use out of it than any of the others, though I love Shalom, too. Plus, it's looked really good on all the different body types I've seen it on.

I vote for lace panel or garter yoke or 28thirty... BUT, I love them all. You cannot go wrong with a shortlist like that!

I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. They all strike me as quite similar to one another (not in a bad way), as if they were cousins. That said, I've been wanting to knit 28thirty for a while now.

Too! many! choices! A lot of these would look fab on you. I think I like the Asymmetrical Cabled Cardi the best... Well, actually I adore the Cropped Hoodie, and sort of wish you'd knit it so that I can get the vicarious pleasure - because heaven knows I can't wear that shape - but I'm not sure how it would look with the hood down. I might skip the hood entirely.
Also love Chic Cables & Lace, but we're going into summer here. Lace Panel Cardi would look very sweet on you.

I vote for Shalom, the Lace Panel Cardi, Asymmetrical Cardi, Cables and Lace Cowl, or Round the Corner Hoodie. Hmm... that really doesn't really narrow it down much. I'll cast my vote for the Lace Panel Cardi. I think in the plum BFL it would look great with a gray buttonband.

Maybe the Garter Yoke cardigan. That's the one I'd do. It has nice shaping and a classic design.

The Gilet Asymetrique and Shalom are both in my queue, and I have been holding off queuing the lace panel cardi out of stubbornness.
I like the garter yoke cardi and it is wonderfully wearable but I can't see the "special" factor.
28thirty I don't like for myself, (maybe if it were longer in the body). The neckline is cute, and I think you could pull off either that or Iisis.

28thirty (ooh hadn't seen that one before!) or Shalom. Just a slight word of warning: Shalom swings open like Loppem and you might find yourself feeling very belly-conscious. At least, that's what happens to me :(

I could see you in the lace panel cardy look lovely or personally I think you would rock 28thirty and not many people could so I think you should totally do that!! It would look lovely.

I'd say go for the Garter Yoke Cardi, but I'm biased because I'm knitting that myself at the moment! I do remember you saying that you'd like just a 'regular' plain cardigan that isn't asymetrical...so that would be perfect.
The Wedgewood Blouse would also look fab on you. Knit that too, then we can meet up and be blouse twins!

I'm a practical person, so a cardigan/sweater should keep me warm. So no cropped things ("in my country" covering your stomach is considered the most important), and no "just a button at the neck" cardi for the same reason. So that eliminates shalom, asymetrical cardigan and Green Isis. I would suggest the wedgewood blouse as I don't think you've ever knitted something similar (as the gilet asymetrique = buttony).

Shalom or garter yoke (even though I want to knit that!). But they're all lovely!

I'd suggest 28thirty or Shalom like Justine. I wanted to make Gilet Asymmetrical and did a little research and it seems to look good only on people of a certain body type (you might be that right body type :-)). Also, not that many people seemed happy with the end result.

I like the Gilet Asymetrique - a really simple design but the pockets make it. It's in my queue now - now all I need to do is learn knitting-French.

All beautiful, but I think 28thirty or Shalom - your Buttony is very similar to the Gilet Asymmetrical.
I'm not going to suggest the lace panel cardy cos I want that for myself
