Thank you so much to everyone who left a comment! Interestingly, I don't think there was any clear runner for First Choice, or even Second Choice. Even more interestingly is that I still haven't made a final decision insofar as deciding to make one garment. Rather I'm going to make four. Potentially. I have the yarn chosen for four, if only purchased for one, and the patterns ready and waiting at my fingertips for all of them.
28thirty, which I bought a couple of days ago -- my first single-pattern purchase ever -- definitely in Fleece Artist Organic Wool
Lace Panel Cardi in Lovegarn Iceland
or Fyberspates BFL DK (pic nicked from the Fyberspates webpage)
or Devon Fine Fibres Bowmont DK
Round the Corner Hoodie in possibly the Fyberspates BFL or the Devon Fine Fibres Bowmont; and Green Iisis in Biggam Designs DK (in a gorgeous canary yellow which I have yet to purchase, but by heaven I will!).
Thank goodness the latest Twist Collective is a bit on the meh side, so I don't have anything else tempting me. Of course, I've been doing everything BUT knit lately, which might explain why I'm being so freaking indecisive. I'm delivering my first paper on Thursday -- the trajectory of James Bond's crisis of being over the 007 series and how it (and his increasingly collapsing perception of the symbolic order he serves) ends up changing the face of the spy genre -- so I've been trying to stay focussed and just work on that. Not easy when I've got essays that need marking and a freelance deadline, both due on Friday. Oi! I am seriously looking forward to Saturday.

Is there such a thing as yarn porn? Those are some yummy specimens!! Good luck with your work!

All that lovely yarn -- no wonder it's hard choosing only one. Good luck on your paper! (And deadlines.)
