It's been nearly two weeks since my last post, which is both outrageous and a bit worrying, yet (regretfully) completely in keeping with my Schedule of Doom. I've spent most of the last month on this work routine:
8.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. -- proofread, mark essays, design socks, research paper, mark essays, make sandwich, wonder what the outdoors feels like, proofread, write paper, mark essays, chart socks, poke about in garden, ignore cats at window, proofread, mark essays
10.30 p.m. to 12.30 a.m. -- sleep
12.30 a.m. to 6.30 a.m. -- proofread, mark essays, typeset, research paper, mark essays, sneak in guilty look at Ravelry, wonder what Matthew's sleeping body feels like, edit patterns, mark essays, investigate wild student claims about modernism, ignore cats at window, typeset, write paper, mark essays
6.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. -- sleep
It's a bit like being a real grown-up but on a somewhat more sleep-deprived time clock.(Actually, it's like having children but without the children.)
HOWEVER, it should be improving soon. Maybe even this week. I got more than seven hours (seven hours!) sleep every single night this weekend. I'm nearly finished (this lot of) the essays, the typeset/proofread has been returned, teaching ends at the end of this week (barring the next lot of essays) and I delivered my paper so can now play about with it while knitting instead of tearing out my hair.
