I'm feeling vaguely overwhelmed this morning. It's less, I suspect, to do with anything major than it is the anticipation of autumn, in which Big Change must always happen.
Autumn's Big Change promises always seem more relevant than the New Year, probably because the seasons actually change whereas the New Year is just another day in the middle of deary grey winter.
That's about as much philosophising as I can take today.
I might go to the park today and see watch the leaves turn colour.

'Sfunny. The idea of September being a Big Change time is such a northern hemisphere thing. When I grew up September was just another month - spring, quite nice - heading towards the end of the school year. School years started, quite logically, at the end of January. Of course. How else could things possibly be arranged? So January is still very much the time of change for me. Autumn is just autumn.
